Matthew Barclay
Matthew Barclay is a central Florida native and currently practices first-party property litigation and liability defense out of our Maitland office. Mr. Barclay attended the Florida State University College of Business where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Finance and minor in Economics. While earning his degree, Mr. Barclay served as the vice president of the FSU Pre-Law Society and was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Eta Sigma and Golden Key Honor Societies. Following graduation, Mr. Barclay worked as an analyst and advisor at one of the world’s largest financial institutions before returning to Florida to attend law school on a full academic scholarship. Mr. Barclay earned his Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law in 2018 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and served on the Moot Court Honors Board.
Since his admission to the Florida Bar, Mr. Barclay has focused his practice on representing corporations and insurance carriers against first-party, third-party, and liability actions. He has handled hundreds of cases ranging from breach of contract to premises liability and negligence matters, defending clients from pre-suit through litigation. Mr. Barclay is licensed to practice law in all Florida State Courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
