First Party Defense

Third Party Coverage
Our firm assists clients with third party liability coverage investigations and policy interpretation, evaluating whether a duty to defend and indemnify is owed under personal lines and excess insurance policies. We support our clients by preparing coverage opinions, drafting coverage position letters, and, when appropriate, filing declaratory judgment actions to resolve coverage disputes.
Arson & Fraud
Cambo Ferry, PLLC has extensive experience in identifying and defending fraudulent claims, both during pre-suit investigations and in litigation. In pre-suit matters, we partner with our clients and their SIU departments to investigate and determine if a claim should be denied for fraud or misrepresentation. In litigation, our team of attorneys aggressively defend against fraudulent claims and lawsuits. We regularly obtain dismissals with prejudice due to fraud on the court, and thereafter we successfully recover the fees and costs expended by our clients in the defense of frivolous actions from the plaintiffs and their counsel.

Dispute Resolution
We offer end-to-end solutions for our residential and commercial carriers by handling Notices of Intent to Initiate Litigation, Civil Remedy Notices, complex claims investigations, coverage opinions, Examinations Under Oath, and SIU investigations. We have a dedicated pre-litigation department focused solely on providing support to carriers requiring timely and thorough reviews of claims and providing legal opinions and recommendations for any additional investigation which may be required no matter how complex a claim may be.

Cambo Ferry, PLLC represents its clients in flood losses, guiding carriers and claims professionals in presuit and litigation of the unique issues presented in flood losses.
Outside General Counsel
Cambo Ferry, PLLC serves as general advisors to our insurance clients on a wide range of strategic business and legal issues for our clients. We assist our clients with creating internal workflows and preparing internal claim handling templates and processes. We have particular expertise in policy drafting, including endorsements and novel insurance products. We also frequently partner with our clients to provide claim handling best-practice training and CE courses.
Extra-Contractual
We represent and counsel our clients involved in extra contractual or bad faith matters. More importantly, we structure our practice and defense to avoid exposure to bad faith in the underlying defense of the claim, as we understand that these cases involve the potential for high exposure for our clients. In this regard, we assist our clients in navigating these complicated matters and aggressively and successfully defending and favorably resolving these cases for our clients.
